In your own skin

I like late night SBS. That's the time selected documentary will be put on the channel. Often rare and 18-and-above classification. Last week, it's showing Miss Nude in Australia. I have never in my life heard of such contest. It is not just in Australia, but there is Miss Nude World International pageant, just like other beauty pageant since 1991.

There are stories behind these Miss Nude. Not all are supported by their family. Some parents blamed themselves, often end with divorce or disown. Expected, I thought. It's worst if it happens to an Asian. Or specifically, Chinese. Honestly, it might kill the parents (Heart-attack or stroke).

Watched their performances. All I saw were their confidence, beautiful costume (at least at the beginning), pole dancing choreography and incredible gymnastic movements. Nothing sexual, of course, they are sexy with all the teasing and flirtatious dance move, but I don't have any inappropriate thoughts, not at all.

Picture from Kid Sis

Anyway, I do believe pole dancing is a healthy gymnastic sport. People should be a little more open minded with it. Don't be judgmental. A person does pole dancing doesn't necessary means she's bad or sexually lusting anyone (Although many night clubs ladies did it for a living). It can be purely for the beauty in body movements and its a great form of exercise. Er, maybe not the nudity part.

Friday

I go Oovie for Movie

Its Friday night. Retired from late night out at the most happening clubs? Sick of standing in queue for half an hour or more just for some alcohol and music? I do. So if you're a homey, like myself now, what's more perfect to spend your Friday evening with movie from Oovie?

So, what is Oovie? It is a movie rental machine popping out in almost all shopping malls. You can rent anywhere and return in at any Oovie machine. How do you do it? Its just a few simple steps:
1. Choose your movie
2. Swipe your credit card (Yes, no cash!)
3. Collect your DVD
That's it!

Why Oovie? I'd prefer Oovie over many rental shops for few reason:
1. Cheaper - with $2.99 overnight rate. I rented movies from other shops and they cost me $4.99 overnight too!
2. No membership sign up fees or identification - Why pay more for the silly sign up fees? Identification wise, your credit card payment is a proof already.
3. New release is up to date - Its releasing for new movies are fast. Like a month faster than other rental shops
4. Deal or no deal - Best part, you don't have to deal with bad servicing counter boy/girl. Just touch-screen pick your movie, swipe card, collect and go. Bam! Fast and efficient.

FYI, free rental on Wednesday! Means you don't pay a dollar for any latest release =D Now that's what you can't get from rental shops.

So, I'd say, let's go Oovie!

Pink lady down the street

As most of you already know, I blog-hop through my weekend. Of course that's after all planned outings. Then, I can spend hours in front of my computer; sometimes using my laptop so I can watch some soaps too. I don't normally recommend blogs I read, but this is different.

I would definitely like to share the Violet's Store with you. Although this would means higher chances of my favorable items to be sold before I decided to "want" it. But I seriously think her work worth it. Violet is good at nail art and other artwork, her blog has all the tutorials on DIY too! I "followed" her earlier this year, and definitely like her. She's superb friendly and nice to everyone. (PS I am not fawning on her, I just like her. Oh wait, but it certainly looks like I fawns on her anyway.)

I got permission to put the following pictures here. They are all her work. Before showing you those pretty nails...

The umbrella girl. Violet drew this! Amazing isn't it?! I know many creative and artistic people out there may be able to the this, or even better, but I'm still amazed by her art. And the girl, look like her, in person.

Okay. Here come the nails. My personal favourite - Princess' Afternoon Snack. It's sold but Violet is making them for me already!

Happily Ever After. I'm sure with these on your nails, not only cheering yourself but also everyone who sees it.

Chocolate Disco. Who can resist it? Its something simple but absolutely nice. Its like cakes from Alice in the Wonderland or something.

P.P.S I am not fawning on her, I just like her and I want my friends to know something about her.

Monday

just some pictures

as many already know, and few friends of mine (eg. mr hilmi ramlan was stuck at denmark and forced to take the train, which is 12 hours ride to brussels) experienced inconvenience from it - iceland's volcanic eruption. its the eyjafjallajokull (wtf! how to pronounce it?) volcano.it has been headlines all over the world together with poland's tragedy,  and china's earthquake.

i read time using my BlackBerry® this morning.

#1 Aurora Borealis
just days before the second eruption in april. lava pours out of two fissures near eyjafjallajokull.

#2 Sky Blue
amazing isn't it? a cloud of volcanic ash moves over a family farm in fimmvorduhals, iceland.

#3 Highway to hell
seriously, they call it right. highway covered in ash. though its not something ugly.

Thursday

good laugh for you and me

Good day folks :]

Its Thursday already. Lets write something. Anything except routines of lectures and tutorials. Wouldn't be pleasant to torture you with such thing. It would be better if its what I've been reading on magazines, gossiping, watching, playing.

Speaking of games, Brian kindly downloaded Burger Shop 2 (I spotted a newly downloaded one called Cake Shop). Addictive. Played 3 hours, at level 117 now. Feeling guilty as I played before him, and he is clueless now. Can't move on from where I stop. Sorry, but I couldn't help. Love this type of game. If its on my NDS, better.

And sentences of movies I watched over the week. Not updated one. I haven't been to the cinema. Next cinema visit should be in purpose of Johnny Depp's Alice in the Wonderland. Anyway, I watched:

#1. Whiteout by Kate Beckinsale
It sure grossed me out with the burnt from ice and cutting of dead fingers. Nevertheless, Kate plays it good. I like her hair, her calmness and smokin' hot body. The movie is about 101minutes, straightforward. Gave me an insight of weather down under. No way I could survive that. Even thought aurora is unbelievably beautiful.
Ratings: 7.5/10

#2. The Box by Cameron Diaz
Not real. Survived from deadliest lightning strike with special power. Small wooden box with a button. Press it, someone dies and you got the a million dollar with consequences, louis vuitton handbags you die, or your family member's lifetime suffers. Mr half-face-gone's employer is testing on human, whether they still have the selfishness in order to survive, if not, he is going to extinct the species. So, means if human don't kill each other, he kill. Conclusion, fel (fuck everyone's life).
Ratings: 6/10

#3. The Beauty Shop by Queen Latifah
Something real old. Family movie. But I like her, spreading positive energy. Being confidence of who she is.
Ratings: 6/10

Wednesday

its just the beginning

Good day (:

First week (to me) of the semester, feeling the tension already. Morning classes still sucks. It's hard to be fully awake and pumped at such weather. Cold, cloudy morning. Then, trams are full of students and labours.chanel handbags Congestion at building 108 still happens.

Beginning of the semester, we are writing down when are those class tests and assignments due dates already. Stress. That's how I am going to feel till Winter. Call it my Autumn blues.

The good news are:

1. Billy and Tracy are visiting during our Easter breaks. Planning on Tasmania. It should be a trip full of pictures and lame jokes.

2. Parents might be coming in April. No worry. End of April. Which is cool! Less than a week back here, I miss them already. I know, daddy/mommy's girl. Despite my age, am very much a little girl.

3. I upgrade my 3 plan. Own a Blackberry Bold 9700 smartphone. BBM with Claudia almost whenever I want. And the boyfriend is using my E71. So, basically, both of us are satisfied.

Good day folks (:

Went KL for Kin Kin's spicy pan mee with the boyfriend, my senior - louis vuitton and my darling - Houi Yun. Its delicious. Definitely coming back for more, if and only if I got a driver who know the way there, cause its complicated. And then, I got my 22nd birthday present from Houi Yun. Its my first Coach. She bought me The Coach Signature Collection of Madison Art Slim Wallet. Its gorgeous. Now, we got the same wallet.

Look at it ! Tell me you're jealous. LOL

Saturday

your colour are different from mine

Dear Blog-readers ♥

This is again an advance post. I am having weekend getaway with family. Where? Singapore. My third visit. Sister's first. Everything would be great.

One day, as I am blog-hopping, I came across a page titled "I Would Never Be Friends With A Black Person". It caught my attention. What a racist statement, I thought. Clicked in to read.

As a Malaysian, we learn to live with different races from very young age. Despite categorizing I am Chinese, you are Malay, he is Indian, we call ourselves Malaysian. Sure there are times we gossip and complaining about each others races characteristic and all, but never made such strong comment.

I met a few adorable black person in Melbourne. Okay. Cut it. It feels weird to label them as "black person". They are my friends, from Kenya, chanel handbags Nigeria and Zimbabwe. They treat me well and care for me just like how the others do. So, lets don't be a judgmental jerk. No race are superior. You are the one people valued, not your skin colour. Sometimes, its good to be colour blind.

12 days to Melbourne

Dear Readers ♥

I have been a good blogger. Updating almost everyday. Usual bubbles but its what I've been living. Simple life. Many may think its dull. But I am enjoying it, very much.

12 days to new semester in Melbourne. Four months of holiday are simply too much. I miss lecture and tutorials. I miss my life in Melbourne. chanel handbags Where I prepare lunch/dinner, weekly laundry and spring clean, gym, swim and yoga sessions.

Few CNY's shots:
Just the four of us. Simon! Come back~

With the boyfriend. Heart his baby blue Burberry.

Last but not least, the big photo of the day.

tanah airku

Dear Readers ♥

I am back in my tanah air.

Always feel good to be home. Especially when you know that you have an awesome family.

First night back, we had home cook food. Papa did the cooking. We all love Papa's food. chanel handbags All smiley face around me for dinner. Then gossiped at the couch. Its happier than doing it with my bff.

Internet speed of the p1max. Still slow and frustrating. Damn. I want my streamyx back! Anyway, expect less or perhaps zero photo for at least two weeks.

Tuesday

forever young

Dear Readers ♥

Hong Kong weather is crazy. These days, it remains below 10degrees. Humidity above 90%. And its raining almost 20 hours a day. Now, I miss sweating in Malaysia. At least I can hide in my air conditioned room.

Dark circle occupied my puffy eye. Sigh. Its time to sleep before 11pm. So unhealthy.chanel handbags I don't need naps during the day. All I need is beauty sleep after 10.30pm for at 8 hours. Easy, but hard to achieve.

Anyway, let this post end here with my pick of a daily photo.

Somewhat like vending machine. They look cute to me.

little days little pics

here are my little updates with pictures. bought a world map puzzle on monday, 2000 pieces, hung up on wall with frame within 24 hours. three of us, kammy, kareshi and me shared the puzzles and we practically done in 12 hours. its pretty addictive. and time consuming.

purchased at 1pm, and after 6 hours, lands were filled, ocean was killing. stopped at 10pm

but we never give up, and its all placed at where it should be at 1pm, next day.

i haven't mentioned in my previous post about the two meetings with kareshi's dad and his relatives. aunt from nanjing is here with her husband and grand-daughter, bei bei. she sure is a very boyish little girl. hyperactive. louis vuitton handbags but the grandparents are seriously overprotective to a point i can't help but say "crazy". the reason? its 25degrees that day, and bei bei was forced to wear two thick pants, one long sleeve cotton shirt, a sleeveless wools, and a knitted jacket. hot die her!
this is little bei bei checking her present we bought for her. the four disney princess story book with audio cd and tinkerbell 3d storybook.
took off the jacket, still looking too warm. weather? sunny with 27degrees. cloudless, windless. thank you.

this is my love. lili's daughter. 5 months old. adorable little fella. i like babies who love to play with strangers. not those who cries and scream. so not fun. yes, i like children, i like baby, i like kid. by choice. only the good and fun one. not those irritatingly disgusting spoil brats.

went to billy's on monday. the usual get-together with him, tim, bear and yiu wang except this time, we had steamboat at the restaurant. before that, the guys had fun with their mini table-tennis game. where kareshi and billy somewhat came up with the idea of using the small dining table for two, transformed it into table-tennis. and they left the house sweat and hot.
that's the table. and they are posing for me.
these guys are serious!
getting nervous for tomorrow's meet ups. kareshi's high school's schoolmates. first time meeting them, and yes, i am greedy. i do care and want and hope they all like me too. well, not that they are his close friend but i do hope to present a very good impression. not trying to outshine his exes but i do think there will be comparison talk behind our backs.

Sunday

memory's disease

these days, discovery channel division - knowledge, become my favourite. today, subject is "mp - memory's problem or memory's disease". memory loss is the inability to recall people, objects, places or events that happened in recent or distant past.

so, how does it feel?
when you read your diary, reading your memories, but you don't remember anything. if memories are pieces of ourselves, these people have been missing every pieces of themselves despite the hard work on rebuilding each pieces. watching the film, i felt a moment of heartache. i have sympathy for them.

an extra everywhere

good day folks

not so good in hong kong. i don't know why but everywhere is covered by thick haze. did someone just burnt the forest? pollution kills. hence, i kept myself away from outdoor. checking emails, chanel handbags blogs hopping, watching spicy palace from youtube, facebooking. felt extremely thankful to have my lap-pie with me.

my friends are the conductor for my self-abased. i am dubious by clicking through blogs and facebook's photo albums, and realized they are all in shape. flat abs. no extra flesh on arms, not on waist, not on tights. despite their intakes. unless all lied about it. i swear on my mobile they consume more and work less than i do. yet, i am the one with extra weight on everywhere. despite daily swimming and badminton, each an hour, pounds seems to be glued on the same number. why?

religions

this post is religion related. a sensitive subject to write or talk about.

personally, i am not drawn by piety but mostly the connection and feelings i have.whichever religion you believe in, i believe it hold us all together, bringing the best out of us. not keeping boundaries and rules but to remind you which is bad.

napoleon once dismissed religion as "what keeps the poor from murdering the rich". meaning, without the fear of god, or literally the hell we might have to pay, the rest of us would just take what we wanted. true? perhaps.

am i christian? many thought i am because of my name. but i am not, standing no where near christianity. then, am i buddhist? not exactly. i have faith in guan yin. not because of her greatness i heard. i believe in her because she make me feel safe, and make me feel the goodness in people.that's why,  my religion is 'guan yin'.

love changes

me has been reading mitch albom. it sure make me think a lot. especially when it comes to questions on faith in relationship. everyone has their perception in marriages or relationships. but who is right? there is an answer being unanswered.

in the book, a passage says: how do you predict if marriages, oh, not there yet, i mean relationship survives? if they are communicating well, if they have similar believes and values, chanel handbags they stand a good chance. how bout love? you asked. love should always have been there. but love changes. infatuation kind shrivel. soon when something goes wrong, then, love is out of sight.

somehow, i feel connected. yes, love itself is not enough.

Monday

prior on board

good day (:

i got an appointment to remove my stitches at 1pm and outing with girlfriends at 1.30pm. but me seriously doubt removing stitches is the best thing to do now as i can still feel the pain. blame on doctor too! they told me everything are allowed. so my meals included seafood, eggs, chicken, duck etc and bam! wound still is not recovered. thought of canceling but mom said i should just go and let the doctor decide. after that, i'm going to ditch ♥kareshi and go dating with my girlfriends. somewhat feel bad but its just once in many many months. furthermore, me would only be gone for half day and will be home for dinner.

hooray! me is going to hong kong for two months in less than forty-eight hours. this time, i ditch cathay pacific because of its ridiculously expensive fare and choose to fly with air asia. okay. my first time with air asia too.

things to do prior on board:
- on board travel kit (all contained not more than 100ml)
- eyes comforter
- travel documents
- books to kill time
- luggage
(including winter clothes for germany and beach wear for bali)
- nikon d5ooo
- milky laptop

but, i have done nothing yet. damn. better start packing the toiletries.

kthxbye!
