Tuesday

short break for some events

world cup fever, baby!

of course i have been following a few. its hard to keep up with them due to the time difference. still is my exam period, so the only one i've fully followed is australia v germany. lukas podolski!

monday was brian's birthday. we went chinabar signature for asian buffet. honestly, its a waste to bring me to any buffet except takumi. especially if buffet involve chinese food. normally, taste just like those cheap take-outs. i couldn't stand bad chinese food ever since i've been feeding by papa chang's restaurant back home - grand imperial. would rather go for other cuisine. the place is just a grand version of chinabar in city with free flow, japanese section, desserts and oysters. i approximately had 20dollar worth of food for 55dollar. you do the maths.

anyway, happy 25th birthday brian! you've live 1/4 of your life!!!

few more day to my last paper, its on friday. after that, i'm planning on a french mani & spa pedi before boarding. should start packing today, or tomorrow. but i am running out of time on tax law. although its open book test, but its law! all the legislation and cases are eating up my brain cells. god i need chicken essence (=

sofia's 22 birthday dinner

good day folks (=

tomorrow will be the beginning of rmit's 3-weeks exam period. my first paper - international monetary economic, is scheduled on wednesday morning. meaning i have less than 30 hours after excluding showers time, meals and bed hours. honestly, i am prepared, but not well-prepared. still have to pump up a little before taking it. but i'll be fine, pray hard.

last friday, 4th june, i went out with my girlfriends. its sofia shukri's 22 birthday dinner. we took few hours off from studies for the event. chose kitchen workshop at crown. nothing big. just few of us, food, jokes and pictures. aud 20 for buffet and complimentary 1/2kg of prawns. worth it? maybe.

even without alcohol, we had great time. finally met jolynn my high-school's gorgeous. its been years, and we never bump into each other! how big can melbourne cbd be? especially we're living on the same street, just few blocks away.

i finally attend her birthday. missed last year's. and we all make it for this one. i think mainly because its me and christine's last year. perhaps its our last celebration together in melbourne. furthermore, its a perfect excuse for all to take a break from our madhouse revisions.

there is a policy in the restaurant. the "no helping in photo taking" policy that disappoint us. hence, the 10s function of our digital camera is the hero of the night for our group picture. after few shots, smiles frozen. but we'll never forget laughter we shared.

Saturday

it was then i realized i love

Good day people :]

Hopping in and out of blogs, friends' and strangers'. Its something I do frequently. Few selected are the daily read, and many, are my weekends catch ups. Koi's recent post reminded me of my family cny tradition. Its unwritten and unplanned rules. Where everyone gather at my place at around 10 am, only the first day. With happy face, and cash in hand. louis vuitton handbags It happens every year, with almost everyone. Uncles and Aunts from Japan, China, United States. Wherever you are, come home for the reunion.

Ever since my brother - Simon study abroad, smartly picked the British, which the academic calendar work differently from mine in Kangaroo-land, he has been missing the gathering for two year. The last time is in 2008. Its been a while.

Back then, many moments were snapped. Because Simon and I would be the photographer of the day.

Look at my popo (pointing at you). She is adorable. Still "semangat" as always. And look at the number of family and relatives include myself dressed as red pocket. There are more of them, some arrived at different hour, hence, not a picture of EVERYONE in it.

A little corner next to living room. There are cushions, table, couch and bookshelf. And us posing for a picture.

Then, the front garden is our best spot to take photos with natural light. Cheeky mother I have. Love her despite the highly variable temper.

Oh em gee. Look at my hair, and the roundness of my face. Its just one year apart and I look like a fat pregnant women. But Chelsea has grown up a lot, and getting taller each time I see her.

And here come this year's family portrait, again, Simon is missing! Damn you. Come back~

Wednesday

stepping into the 9th year

Good day folks (:

First and for the rest of the post, Happy 21st Birthday to my darling Houi Yun, Koe. Welcome to the adulthood. Known her for 8 full years, stepping into the 9th. All I could say is, not hard to keep a friendship, but definitely not easy for it to be growing. Especially, this is a long distance affair.

I booked her for lunch because of my yoga lesson in the evening. Wouldn't want to miss my last session before departure. So, I half-forced her to make it for lunch. The boyfriend tag along for lunch with Houi Yun, her parents, grandma and aunt. We decided to have it at my papa's restaurant - Grand Imperial. *wink* Must support papa's. They enjoyed very much. chanel handbags The food is delicious, as usual. Service is good and environment is very comfortable.

After yoga and dinner, Weil Xuan picked up me and the boyfriend for our night mamak session with Goon Wey, Jee Heng, Houi Yun. Almost like counting down the last few hours of her birthday. Met Houi Yun's college best friend, Wei Ling too. Had fun gossiping and joking around at mamak. The only thing/person missing is Alvin who is still working his ass hard in the United State.

Happy Birthday darling (: Big girl already, must learn to be more patience, don't let emotional take control of you. Appreciate what you already own.

Thursday

junior high, six years later

Good day, my fellow blog-readers.

To many of Catholic-ans, my last existence should be 2003. Form 3. Then, I dropped off and enrolled to be KDU-ians. Haven't been up for any lunches, dinners with them for six years. Such a lousy friends I am.

To be a better friend, I sort of organized a gathering for us. Sent invitations through facebook events application. Sorry for not calling and all, but I don't have contacts. Then, date set; Thursday night. Avenue set; Mc Donald, Center Point. Time; 8.30-11pm.

I was excited and nervous to meet many of them. According to FB's response, I would be able to louis vuitton handbags meet few of my playful buddies back in school. However, some of them didn't show up. Miscommunication. Few didn't even bother to make a phone call. Disappoint me a little. But, its alright. I am happy with what I've got.

After that, Houi Yun, Weil Xuan, Mei Kwan and Jee Heng followed me home to bai nian. We'd had fun gossiping our junior schoolmates and posing for camera. Just like the good old days.

I am in a dilemma.

Psychology or Law? Uncle sam gave adviced. "If you like fighting for someone, choose law; if you enjoy comforting and advising, chanel handbags pick psychology." Easy as that. Don't think of them as subject to be choose. Take it as what is you, which represents yourself.

Will think about it.

kumo-chan's 1st day

good day folks (:

kumo-chan arrived before saturday noon. weather was great! exceptionally warm. left all belongings except cash and identification document at home and started her trip by lunch at yin zuo(銀座). their ice milk tea is really good. satay beef noodle is yummy delicious too! then, three of us left tsuen wan. took the public bus to kwai fong. first stop is catching gold fish with paper stick or known as lau gam yu (撈金魚). its japanese activity, i suppose. as malaysian, i don't think many of us have tried this. its definitely a must try if you are anywhere near this type of stall. kumo-chan and myself were excited and laughing all the way. honestly, we are so good at it too!

pictures above are our memories at the lau gam yu 's stall. look at the bowl of fishes we caught using that little paper stick! and mind you, few of them are the biggest fish in the tube pond. me greedily aimed them. wasted three of the paper stick just for three fishes. not worth it. but its a challenge!

then, we left kwai fong after few hours of lepak-ing and snacking. next stop is tuen mun. again, by bus. me love to travel by bus. cleaner and more comfortable. first place we zooom to is my favourite - chi lok. now kumo-chan likes cold noodle too! but definitely not as much as i do. then, another hour of walk-around and bought billy's birthday present - pictionary, a game we all love, and think that he should own one since all parties held at his place. went hoi tin tong(海天堂) for their famous gwai leng gou(龜苓膏) before heading to billy's at village leung tin(良田村).

pictures above. the bottom one are rental boxes shop where people rent a box and sell whatever they want. which include, some sexual instrument (: bottom right is local snack which we tried.

picture above. shopping for bbq's.

kareshi and billy set up the station for the night and the four of us started our bbq session before tim and bear arrived. kumo-chan and myself couldn't eat much. just a couple of balls and sausages. then we stopped and play pictionary with the guys. to make it fair for us who are not born and live in hong kong, we were a team. advantages? we know different language which can easily convert into the answer (:

me insist leaving before the last train, which is 12.35am. so we called it a night around 12mid-night. unbelievable thing happened. billy, tim and bear had been planning to give me surprise. while waiting for kareshi, which knew the surprise like few minutes before myself. the lights went off and i was stunned seeing billy holding berry forest cheese cake and all others singing happy birthday! i couldn't believe it. as most chanel handbags may already know, those guys are my boyfriend's high school mate. although they have been friendly with me and include me in their activities. so, what they did... is really touching. thanks guys!

now, i feel a sense of belonging.
