Thanks to NuffnangAU and of course our two lovely host - Violet and Penny, on 24 of July, we have 2 tables of Melbourne blogger at Koko Black on Collins Street diagnosed with chocolate overdose. I think almost all with RSVP attended. Well, nobody would turn down a chocolate "deal".

This is my first time attending a blogger meet-up. Its a great pleasure to finally meet Violet in person, especially after months of chit chatty over our blog and tweets. She is truly adorable, in the internet world and in person. And because of this event, I get to know a bunch of food blogger - Michelle, Emma, Simone, I Hua and Ceri! Ladies who love food are far more attractive, healthy and happy!

Prior that, I was thinking whether to bring my big camera for the occasion. However, Violet promised me it would be the last thing to worry as blogger meet-up usually means lots of pictures from blogger! Anyway, I brought my Sony digital and managed to capture a few candid, but sitting far at the corner, I couldn't get a good squeeze on our chocolates and other blogger, louis vuitton handbags so I asked permission from other blogger to use theirs And they are all too lovely to say YES!

#6 Michelle is a psychology student in Melbourne Uni, and she is from KL! As soon as I know she's a food blogger, I asked if she ever tried Papa Chang's restaurant. Guess what? She loves Grand Imperial and had written a review on Bangsar's branch of G.I.

Its Friday night. Retired from late night out at the most happening clubs? Sick of standing in queue for half an hour or more just for some alcohol and music? I do. So if you're a homey, like myself now, what's more perfect to spend your Friday evening with movie from Oovie?

So, what is Oovie? It is a movie rental machine popping out in almost all shopping malls. You can rent anywhere and return in at any Oovie machine. How do you do it? Its just a few simple steps:
1. Choose your movie
2. Swipe your credit card (Yes, no cash!)
3. Collect your DVD
That's it!

Why Oovie? I'd prefer Oovie over many rental shops for few reason:
1. Cheaper - with $2.99 overnight rate. I rented movies from other shops and they cost me $4.99 overnight too! 
2. No membership sign up fees or identification - Why pay more for the silly sign up fees? Identification wise, your credit card payment is a proof already.
3. New release is up to date - Its releasing for new movies are fast. Like a month faster than other rental shops
4. Deal or no deal - Best part, you don't have to deal with bad servicing counter boy/girl. Just touch-screen pick your movie, swipe card, collect and go. Bam! Fast and efficient.

FYI, free rental on Wednesday! Means you don't pay a dollar for any latest release =D Now that's what you can't get from rental shops.

Busiest day of the week is over !!!

Its third week of the semester but everything is pretty intense already. Two weeks to Easter Break. Very much excited for the holiday as I'll be traveling around Tasmania with boyfriend and friends. Planning a 6 days from Devonport heading down to Hobart. BUT there are 2 mid-term and assignments due right after the short holiday. In order to travel care-freely, I have to start doing preparation for mid-terms and submit assignment a week before it's due. fml.

Proudly saying, I heart my lecturer! This semester are fantastic. Although they are tough and soft-pressuring students to come to class or risk failing, I enjoyed stuck in class with any of them. Don't you just love cheerful person to teach? Which they loosen up at some points crack lame jokes and even slip some f words for expression? I just love it. chanel They make my continuous hours of lectures and tutorials colourful.

p.s I cleared out some old + outdated + mad ugly clothing from my wardrobe. Donating/recycling to the Salvation Army.

Good day people :]

Hopping in and out of blogs, friends' and strangers'. Its something I do frequently. Few selected are the daily read, and many, are my weekends catch ups. Koi's recent post reminded me of my family cny tradition. Its unwritten and unplanned rules. Where everyone gather at my place at around 10 am, only the first day. With happy face, and cash in hand. louis vuitton handbags It happens every year, with almost everyone. Uncles and Aunts from Japan, China, United States. Wherever you are, come home for the reunion.

Ever since my brother - Simon study abroad, smartly picked the British, which the academic calendar work differently from mine in Kangaroo-land, he has been missing the gathering for two year. The last time is in 2008. Its been a while.

Back then, many moments were snapped. Because Simon and I would be the photographer of the day.

Look at my popo (pointing at you). She is adorable. Still "semangat" as always. And look at the number of family and relatives include myself dressed as red pocket. There are more of them, some arrived at different hour, hence, not a picture of EVERYONE in it.

A little corner next to living room. There are cushions, table, couch and bookshelf. And us posing for a picture.

Then, the front garden is our best spot to take photos with natural light. Cheeky mother I have. Love her despite the highly variable temper.

Oh em gee. Look at my hair, and the roundness of my face. Its just one year apart and I look like a fat pregnant women. But Chelsea has grown up a lot, and getting taller each time I see her.

And here come this year's family portrait, again, Simon is missing! Damn you. Come back~

good laugh for you and me

Good day folks :]

Its Thursday already. Lets write something. Anything except routines of lectures and tutorials. Wouldn't be pleasant to torture you with such thing. It would be better if its what I've been reading on magazines, gossiping, watching, playing.

Speaking of games, Brian kindly downloaded Burger Shop 2 (I spotted a newly downloaded one called Cake Shop). Addictive. Played 3 hours, at level 117 now. Feeling guilty as I played before him, and he is clueless now. Can't move on from where I stop. Sorry, but I couldn't help. Love this type of game. If its on my NDS, better.

And sentences of movies I watched over the week. Not updated one. I haven't been to the cinema. Next cinema visit should be in purpose of Johnny Depp's Alice in the Wonderland. Anyway, I watched:

#1. Whiteout by Kate Beckinsale
It sure grossed me out with the burnt from ice and cutting of dead fingers. Nevertheless, Kate plays it good. I like her hair, her calmness and smokin' hot body. The movie is about 101minutes, straightforward. Gave me an insight of weather down under. No way I could survive that. Even thought aurora is unbelievably beautiful.

#2. The Box by Cameron Diaz
Not real. Survived from deadliest lightning strike with special power. Small wooden box with a button. Press it, someone dies and you got the a million dollar with consequences, louis vuitton handbags you die, or your family member's lifetime suffers. Mr half-face-gone's employer is testing on human, whether they still have the selfishness in order to survive, if not, he is going to extinct the species. So, means if human don't kill each other, he kill. Conclusion, fel (fuck everyone's life).

#3. The Beauty Shop by Queen Latifah
Something real old. Family movie. But I like her, spreading positive energy. Being confidence of who she is.

Halloween

Good day folks,

First, I would like to tell everyone my academic studies of year 2009 is officially over! No more lectures, no more tutorials, no more notes, no more study, most importantly, no more stress!! Now I am going to enjoy 150days of freedom a lot.

Before I forgot, WARNING!!! A long post with some not-me pictures. But you'll enjoy it.

Happy Hallowe'en!! Don't correct my spelling. Its suppose to be spelled like that. Since I've some plan going tomorrow morning, I won't be able to go trick-o-treat, not to mention the Hallowe'en party around Melbourne's clubs and bar. Anyway, to at least express some H-feelings, I am going to wear orange and black today.

Many costume party in town too. I am very much curious in costume for H. What in mind is, the vampire dead bride in "Mean Girls" where Lilo wore it to the H party. Anyway, I Google and found tons of costumes listed under H costume. Isn't H suppose to be scary? Why are people wearing sexy and cute?













Like this one (Left picture). Going for a cheer camp Ms Paris H.? And this one (Right picture). Holding a 'fork' doesn't make you scary. Especially not with tinker-bell wing behind.

A little effort in it(Left picture), but its not Toy-story's day guys.

BUT, I found some really scary H costume, and I do like them. It makes me think that going to a party with people who doesn't mind to be ugly and scary should be so much fun then with those who dress up in cute, sexy, hot and adorable costume just like every other costume party. Make a difference please. Its Hallowe-en!!

Wed Cupcakes

Hey Hey, its Thursday!

I should be studying now. 3 more chapters and I am done with Investment revision. Fully revised. But the lazy mood kicked in. Sigh. International Trade and Quantitative Analysis still behind, untouch. How am I going to stuff everything in my brain in 4 days? I have no idea. Trying hard, and trying harder not to take any Redbull shots. Tempting. Wanted to switch it to coffee. I heart coffee. However, I promised myself not to take any coffee untill exams are over. Like what the hell was I thinking!!

Took a short break and found a very attracting picture at Yahoo!AU under the Bridal section. Don't even think about it yet. I am attracted to the web by the following picture! Obviously its not the real wedding cake. Its the wedding cupcakes! I think they are for the guests. So now I have two idea to put in my wedding cater, ferrero roche and cupcakes. Fun-tastic!

Now, back to books and notes ):

How stupid can anyone possibly be? See for yourself.
Spotted. Employee apparently complaint about the job and semi-screw her employer. BUT forgot she actually has the employer in her friend list. Lesson learned. Never add or approved anyone you know there are highly in position for your foul mouthing and bitching.



I should show some sympathy but instead I only feel the lady deserved it. Boss actually have points. People has been complaining their jobs and all. But hey, you should really feel bless for not being in the calculation of unemployment rate. So, be grateful.

Hello people.

I woke up early in the morning for Balwyn Sunday Market a.k.a Camberwell Sunday Market. Few drops from the sky. We had a cloudy Sunday in Melbourne. I can't see a piece of blue up there. The sky is dominated by cotton clouds (: I love walking around market, even there is nothing suitable to take home. I like seeing the local searching and bargaining things. I like seeing kids playing guitars along side. I like hot dogs stall. Anyway, I bought a vintage mini at a stall. Love it.

After that, we went to St Kilda Sunday Market. B bought a drawing for my living room. He is going to put it up at my living room :) A very beautiful ocean view painting. Had lunch at Vibe, an Italian cuisine.

Starter: Tomato &  Olives bruchetta with warm foccacia, $5.90

Main: Fettucine with Tomato & Spinach, $12


Evening, T called. Barbeque night at his place with H, Ceci, L, J, Crystal, N & her boyfriend. Its been quite a while since our last barbecue night, almost a year. T made a very delicious taco. The ingredient is just too tasty to be describe by words. And the pork chop is the best meat of the night. Juicy delicious. We didn't take a group photo or so, they seems not a big fan of cam-whoring. But I managed to snap one when few playing The Beetlemania :P


Lots of errands to run for next week. Sigh. Here come heavy workloads and studies :(

Much tired, The Girl

Twilight (DONE)

Spend my Friday at home. It's Spring!! I convinced myself to leave all my work and stay outdoor till sun set. But I didn't let it fight over. Assignments are now my priority. Due Monday, which left me barely 12 hours after the deduction of sleeping, napping,eating, showering, you know, the human errands. 12 hours and I have three assignments in hand. Headache. I usually to scream in excitement telling my boyfriend, Thank God Is Friday! But not this week, my holiday weekend, I frowned. Friday, meaning I have less time to finish my work. Hate it!

Anyway, had dinner with some friends at Ying Thai 2. Ordering the same dishes, always include my favourite Larb (mince pork with nuts, lemon, chili, herbs) and Mix Vegetable with oyster sauce, then the ordinary pot of seafood tom yum soup and curry chicken. It has been a while since we last had dinner, the five of us. Two of them were couple but not claiming good friends. They way to communicate, almost criticizing and forcefully get-along mode gives me a sighed. Why do anyone do this to themselves and to the one you once in love with? I can clearly smell the sour in spoken words, feel the pain through movements. But, who am I to give advise, to even talk about it? Keep it to yourself. I murmured but Roy heard me. It's their choice, their common consensus.

I am done with. Twilight saga!! Four book in three months. Breaking Dawn took me two days, and I certainly surprised at my reading speed, given that I didn't want to finish it yet. Yes, I didn't want to finish it, knowing I got nothing left to read. Its weird that I am more passionate to Twilight than Harry Potter. I only read the first two of magical Potter . But vampire, werewolves, they are different. I remember hating Isabella Swan so much that I decided to stop reading it. But Mich convinced me, and I am glad that I listened. Breaking Dawn is just abso-fucking-lutely good. I get excited when she got pregnant and deliver Renesme then becoming one of the vampire with special gift, shield. But why am I more to Twilight than HP? Then it snapped me. Its because vampires and werewolves are more special, their mythology are attracting me. Harry Potter's magical world gives bigger imagination and creativity, but is not something I am fascinating. Mythology always win over magic.

p.s I can't wait to see who play Renesme.

Spring

Hello, Spring.

Winter is officially over. Happily welcoming Spring to step in the land. I felt exceptionally warm under the Sun. Only to realize it has been missing for days. Past few days remind me of a childhood lullaby "Rain, rain, go away, come another day..". I feel sick and moody when the surrounding are cold and wet. The humidity in air always give me a hard time to concentrate on my work. Not to mention I am theoretically useless under that circumstances. Anyway, I've got the whole week. Spring/semester holiday, whatever you're calling it. But again, theoretically, its not a holiday. Not feeling a single bit of it. Few assignments on my table due next week. Two class test coming right after. I probably shouldn't blame/complaint. RMIT seems to be the only uni having this short break, others holidays are not starting till end of the month. Maybe I shouldn't think of it as a holiday at all. Works have to be done by Sunday, hopefully.

Well, today is Tuesday. Meaning, cheaper movie tickets at Hoyts. Tuesday evening is always my movie night. This week, two movie in hand - G.I. Joe and Taking Of Pelham 123. Again, study for my Investment test at Deakin library till noon, then headed to Kammy's for more revision. Nerdy!! 6hours, 3 chapter. Not good. I need to boost up my energy and power up my revising speed. Anyway, after my study hours, we went Highpoint for movie!! Yay! Picked Taking of Pelham 123.

Taking of Pelham 123 is directed by Tony Scott running a 121 length of movie. It is about New York City subways hijacked by few armed man leaded by Ryder, where few passengers are held to be hostage. Walter Garber, work as a dispatcher for the subways coincidentally become the negotiator.

I was expecting something better. Not saying its not a good one, but just, should be better, something like Joseph Sargent version in 1974. I see no fireworks, lack of the high spirit, nervousness throughout the negotiation. Anyway, I wasn't disappointed. Nothing disappoint me as much as Pitt's.

Sem Break

Good day folks. Have not been feeling well for the past few days. I hate it very much when I am in this condition, nightmares are the unwelcome visitors in my sleeps, emotional take over my mind, laziness crawl in my daily. All these make me unproductive. Luckily, today is my last day, and semester break started!! And I got 11 days to snuggle at home with my assignments and preparation for mid-semester test. However, playful girl like me won't work too hard, got some dramas and entertainments from Henry, and they are all waiting for me to explore them in my hard disk.

Then, I got a call from a friend at 2.30am. My mommy is right, mid-night calls mostly come with unwanted news. And this call is not exception, a familiar couple of mine ended their relationship. Its expected. Problems have been dragging for days, we'd discussed some of it, and as same sex with his girlfriend, I certainly understand his girlfriend is trying hard to leave. One's condescending will never work when someone found a better option. Although the relationship doesn't work out right, still, we are hoping the best for each other. Breaking up is not always a bad news, rationally. However, when it come to love/relationship, one barely remember to think or react with reason, or at least close to rational. Then, when I think of myself. I smile. I feel loads of love. Roy has been giving his best and all to assure me. What more can I ask?

I wonder if anyone still remember her. Surprisingly, I do remember this young lady. Aaliyah Dana Haughton, died in plane crash on 25th August 2001. Her "The One I Gave My Heart To" caught my eyes. She may not be pretty, or anywhere near hot, but she is a great singer. Her death is a pain lost in music world. Please listen it, and hopefully you will feel the lost I felt. R.I.P Aaliyah.

Rainy morning? Not good. Even worst? On Monday. When I thought things couldn't be worst, feeling of nausea is hitting me. That's not a good sign to start the week. Although its my last week before semester one week break. But it won't be a fun week. Two assignments, two semester tests after break.

Here come the happy weekend, for most of you. I woke up feeling refreshed and happy, knowing I have a 2 o'clock appointment for spa pedicure & french manicure. Such a big spender. Watched The Ellen Show at 12noon and start doing laundry, getting ready for my appointment. Then my iTune random played A La Nanita Nana. I feel sexy singing along. Actually thank my sister for watching The Cheetah Girls, cause I heard it from the movie. Would never watch it myself anyway :) By the way, trust me, don't go search for their other songs, just this one.

I am officially going to do my manicure and pedicure only at Tips & Toes.
Okay. I am not paid. Meaning, I pay $50 for Spa Pedicure and Manicure treatment, additional $3 for french manicure. I blog about the shop because I think they worth my say. I am not paid. I did not receive free treatment, VIP cards or any sort of special treatments. Hope I make this clear before starting it. Its just base on my personal experience. They are so professional, and friendly. Offering massaging chair (is that what you call??) when you're doing spa pedicure. Totally comfortable! I have one question. Why are manicurist and pedicurist mostly Vietnamese? Or its just a coincidence that I happen to go to Vietnamese shop? Anyway, when I leave Tips & Toes, I am a happy girl, it shows on my face, my tips and my toes.

Drive-In

What a wonderful day. My heart is still up and very much in hyper mode from last night surprising outings. You'll probably heard it over my facebook status or twitters if you're following. Yes, I was at the drive-ins. Never expect that to happen so soon. I always wanted and actually dying to have experience in drive-in cinema. Its like one of my to-do before death. Last night, ♥ Roy ♥ brought me there! I was totally clueless on where we're driving to when we're suppose to be walking in the city finding food. Then, when we drove up Coburg hill and I saw the big Village lighting board, I was in shock and scream in high pitch. Sorry if I act like a three-year-old to you, but I'm too excited, well, practically jumping and planting kisses on him regardless of the car still running.

Let me do some history on this one. I am flattered to experienced the good old fashioned movie fun. Coburg Village Drive-In is located at 155 Newlands Road, Coburg, features a three screens and space for approximately 900 cars! There is a 1950s diner with variety of take away and confectionery, drive-in speakers for your window or dynamic FM stereo through your own vehicle stereo system. It is Australia's largest drive-in theater and has the widest screens in the Southern Hemisphere. Wanna know more about Coburg Drive-In? Click here!

I'd snapped a shot at the entrance, but don't put up with the bad quality. Its mobile camera, and its night time with limited lights. Our movie starts at 9.30pm so there is no bright sky, however, I think it would be pretty if there is a little, like the picture I took from Village website.

The movie we watched is The Ugly Truth. Yay! I watched it. And its within my wanted to watch time frame. Its a pretty good movie by Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. I just laugh so much!

The following may be unpleasant for you. It contained coarse language. Also, it is personal opinion based on real experienced. If you don't agree with it, stick it to yourself. If you do, high five, we're on the same page.

I had a lunch date with sort of long time no contact friend at Shark Fin House. Don't be wrong, what I mean here is the one with an elevator in it. What happened is... we had "dim sum", or "yum cha" you may say, and our conversation are on going, pretty much non-stop. We didn't realize the restaurant is closing for the afternoon or what so ever. The thing is, we don't know until I heard one of the waitress talking to another next to our table with very rude tone "成村人等緊呢台囉.. 係度慢慢吃多野講" (translate: everyone is waiting for this table, and they are still talking so much, enjoying their food). I look up and realized we are the last table. Then I told my friend we should go and that's when the manager sarcastically said "哇!終於都走喇!放工!" (translate: Wow! They are finally leaving! Job done!). When the waitress ask if we need a container, we said no thinking to leave faster. But then my friend wanted to take away for her boyfriend, so we asked for one. That fucking waitress said loudly "唔好o甘快俾佢地，我頭先問又話唔要，俾佢地等! (translate: Don't give it to them so soon. I asked just now and they said don't want, now let them wait!). Then when we finally leaving, waiting for the elevator, the manager said "係度慢慢吃... 阻住晒!' (translate: Slowly eat, stopping us to do stuff). Those are conversation they said. Under circumstances that we are practically next to them, and perfectly understands that I know the language they are speaking. Fucking retards! How can they give such bad services!! Is not like we did it on purpose, you should have come to us politely telling us you are closing. Not by talking shit, bitching, being rude and sarcastic to us! Is this how you treat your customer? People, think about it. I understand what they are saying, and they still don't give a damn and being so impolite and sarcastic to me. Imagine you don't understand their language. I assure you, the ugly truth is they talk fuck about you. I am not going back to Shark Fin House, ever! My friends are going to boycott the restaurant too. Its too rude to give all this shit. Happy Sunday people! My sleeping hours are so standard. I woke up automatically after 8 hours of sleep. Although I really want a 12 hours (: But I am glad to be awake cause it allowed me to chat with my lovely girlfriend, Claudia. Read her blog, love her new lap top so much!! It's purple Dell. Our favourite colour is purple. I really miss this girl so much. We met on Orientation day for A-levels in HELP. I was a student of A-levels for three months before my decision to come Aussie-land. It hurts both of us. Especially my baby. I am sorry sweet. Anyhow, I am more grateful and touched that our friendship grow stronger. Quote from Claudia " In three months but we found true friend for lifetime. "

There has been a horrible and creepy crime happenings. Animals are being killed and mutilated in New South Wales. According to The Sunday Telegraph, three maimed kangaroos, two beheaded parrots, several savage rabbits and what is thought to be a decapitated dog or sheep have been found. I don't like this at all. It feels really bad. Although the person doing this might be psychologically unfit or diagnosed by some sort of mental illness, but I still feel very angry. The police should really take this one down. If a person can did all this horrible thing to animal, he/she might be too sick to do something bad to human beings too. Sigh. I feel sorry for him/her.

Was planning to visit Albert Park for a swim and badminton. However, its weekend and all courts are fulled till 7 in the evening. So plan canceled. I end up staying in bed to watch my season 2 Ghost Whisperer. Jennifer Love Hewitt is just simply gorgeous! I don't understand why Perez Hilton isn't very friendly with the lady, calling her desperate, although I do find it weird on her obsession in Robert Pattinson.

Kyle and Jackie O shows suspended. I don't understand why is Kyle to be blame for the 14-year-old revealed the rape incident. Who put this underage girl on air in the first place? Who allowed her to be strapped in lie detector stunt and asked about her sexual history? Kyle and Jackie O show always give us a good laugh and now they are suspended, I don't like this is happening.

I try to update everyday. With news and conversation, my thoughts, my friends, my loves, my day. It may turn boring and dull, bear with it, I am not a professional blogger like XiaXue, I just write with my instinct, current thinking.

Hello. How's your day ? Melbourne has a windy one. Mr Driver dropped me at Arrow. It was my request. I thought I would spend an hour cleaning up before moving in on Sunday. Yes, I am leaving the wonderful suburb and moving back to city. Still feel sorry for the decision, I really like the suburb, but it cost me a lot. Anyway, its not so bad after all. I foreseen lots of catch ups with my girls, and that I'll have more privacy. Not going to be a bad move, definitely. I was suppose to do the cleaning and dumping. However, I turn around in front of the elevator and head right to Melbourne Central. Bought a sandy-coloured cardigan at Valleygirl. I totally love it. It was love at first sight (:

Met up with girlfriend, Sofi at Nando's for lunch. Its a very warm and close catch ups. I felt grateful that our friendship survived. Considering few had left the circle. I truly thank for the effort and sincerity in us. After lunch, Sofi led me to Diamond Nails, where we had a $20 manicure but a not so friendly service. I love my metallic purple nail polish and she picked a bloody red one. We had a great time. While waiting transport home, my second girlfriend, Kri called. Its good she made it and catch up with me for a short ten minutes talk. Her long distance relationship went wrong. I feel a little heartache seeing her trying to hide the pain and portray toughness. Cheating behaviour is unacceptable. But like I always say, its your relationship, you are the one feeling it and knowing your boundaries. Any third party has no right to judge and to tell you what to do. As your friend, the least I can do is be there when you need company, when you need someone to listen, when you need some fun. That's what girlfriends do.

Evening, Roy and I picked up Kammy, Michael and their adorable dog, Daisy. We had dinner at Matsuya Japanese Restaurant at Fairfield. Last day of July which also is Kammy's 30th birthday. She is still young and energetic, physically, not a 30 year old at all. Anyway, Matsuya has delicious and cheap banquet. A Matsu banquet at $37 per person and Chef's Special banquet at $55 per person. Trust me, it covers everything from entree to dessert. Served super fresh and juicy oyster, tasty green tea ice cream topped with red beans. They are my favourite!
