papa mama in town

finally able to squeeze my schedule to be seated and blog about the last few days. pretty unproductive. academic wise. before seeing dad and mom, i was too excited. were day dreaming in class. no revision done. not even my reports. then, 36hours to spend with my parents are amazing.

#1 dad and me were playing with the "magic mirror" outside the pancake parlour. mom think its ugly and very uncomfortable about it. but dad loves it! look how he smiled. that's one hell happy face.

first evening, brought them to a vietnamese restaurant for some light dinner. then we head back to my apartment. to show them its clean and very comfortable. later that night, we went to crown casino. must be my 4th or 5th time here since 2007. ha. not a big fan of expensive restaurants and the gambling part.

#2 its been two years since their last visit. i do cherished our moments here. people says i have both papa and mama in me.

we'd spend the whole thursday together. having a wonderful breakfast at couple cinos, kensington. mama loves it. she has been talking about how soft and yummy was the bread and latte for the rest of the day then met up with uncle bill and stacy chanel handbags for some catch ups on what am i going to do with my apartment when i leave the country and perhaps the getting a p.r  before that.

later, the boyfriend drove us all to chadstone. parents haven't been there. happily shop for ourselves. mama bought a pink yoga mat, papa bought a yoga shorts and one for uncle sam, our yoga instructor back home, a very hunky jacket papa bought for the boyfriend and i got myself a classy coat. super love it.

its been great spending time with papa and mama. can't wait to see them again in december, for my graduation baby! and it would be great if sister is here too!

not a sneaker sunday

i planned to join the fun and do a sneaker sunday post like violet and valerie. but the uploading thing stopped after a few at my food and others are stuck (my sneakers and new necklace i bought from the sunday market)! just not dragging on my sunday post anymore, i've decided to do it the upcoming week.

parents arrived safely at auckland airport with terrified experience on board. i can practically feel mama's shaky voice through the phone. she must be scared. according to her verbal description, they were in terrible turbulence while flying from sydney to auckland, and that their blanket flew up the air. sure she'd cried and thought they are going to crash just like those plane she saw on air crash investigation. i did tear when listening to her experience. i know i can be a real baby girl. but that's me. thank god they are safe!

scratch the worried. i am going to give them a big koala hug when i see them, which is upcoming wednesday! chanel handbags excited.

sunday means st. kilda's art market. we have a gloomy sunday in melbourne! but it never stop me. i like st. chanel handbags kilda despite the crowd and ordinary. my usual is random pick a cafe for brunch, then walk the market.

#5 boyfriend ordered the egg benedict. honestly, its delicious. he said its better than las chicas' because its simple and original. you feel the egg yolks flowing down the bacon while having a bite. nothing complex. simplicity. las chicas' sauce is mind-blowing, but it took over the taste of the food.

#6 my order, tofu scramble. absolutely delicious. tofu mixed perfectly with eggs, tomato slices, onions, baby spinach and a hint of fetta cheese.

chillaxing is the best remedy

i love my saturday. besides cooking stir fry vegetables *celery, 3colour capsicum, onion and mushrooms* for lunch. i practically done nothing but watching glee season 1 on my ps2. munch on biscuits and banana. drank only low-fat milk and pineapple vinegar. relaxing, and refreshing.

keeping the baby or the-a-word. legalized or not. humanity or cruelty. whichever decision picked, it still come with a cost. i've learn that an 11yo mexican were allegedly raped by her stepfather. that jerk impregnated her, leaving her pregnant for more than 4months now. woman's groups talked her into the-a-word, instead, she says she is keeping the baby and is going to name her alejandra. sure, the-a-word is illegal. but it is exempt if its from rape or mother's life is at risk and only within the first 3 month of pregnancy. *news*

i don't know. the-a-word sounds sensible and the right thing to do if you consider the future of the victim. i mean, lets be frank, how can an 11yo raise a baby? and how would you like to explain to your baby that she is from a rape case. no offence but i think even though the-a-word sounds inhumane, but you have to admit, sometimes, we have to make a hard call.

i haven't been catching up with my book readings lately. a promise to myself is to read one per month. its april and i've only read two. ha! blame me for being lazy. anyway, i finally bought a book i've been thinking about to get for a long time - to kill a mockingbird by harper lee. so, i foresee my weekend will be packed with glee, chuck and mockingbird (:

my question is -
1. do you greet your friends' parents when you visit?
2. do you say thank you if they treated you?
3. do you say goodbye when you are leaving?
4. isn't these all basic manners that everyone suppose to know and do so?

to answer the 1 and 3 -
hey you earthling, you are entering the parents' house, not your friend's. they have all the right to kick you out and call the police complaining you enter without permission. you know, its private property.

to answer the 2 -
paying for the bill of your meal and you don't even show appreciation by just a simple thanks? what's wrong with you? its not their job to feed you. or perhaps you prefer to share it? unless you paid, or you ought to say thank you.

to answer the 4 -
these are the basics. even if you don't do it at home, you have to show your respects and manner when you enter people's.chanel handbags i am sorry for being rude but this is what i call "kurang ajar" (not educated). learn your manner or you are not welcome.

its my first and hopefully not last

i am terrifically excited !!!

oh well, i probably should explain a bit ;^) while i'm munching on weight watchers' microwaveable pumpkin soup and bbm-ing with my girlfriend from wales, a message dropped in my inbox. i got this from nuffnang!

i know i sound very desperate and overreacted. but this is my first time! i am a virgin at nuffnang's. so, let me be! anyway, it says that if campaign is not performing well during the duration it will be stopped. oh uh! its not like i have many readers.

i've heard of yesstyle. but just not sure if its the same one. so i google it. and i think it is! yesstyle is an asian fashion online boutique. sort of specialized in korean, japanese and taiwanese fashion. ooohh~ and they are currently having the korean fashion fair which all korean brands discount up to 80% until 2 may. damn it! chanel handbags why this happen when i am broke. currently on my may budget already. and i am saving for my july ski trips! bad, bad timing.

these days, melbourne feels like malaysia. its autumn but the heat is burning. just like today, its 30 degrees! windless. and just last week, i told my parents to pack something warm. oh! they are departing tomorrow and will be coming to melbourne after few days in new zealand. i miss having them here. its been two years since their last visit. 

okay. i should go back to my stack of papers for ime. bloody test in less than 24 hours! have been distracted by that email from nuffnang. anyway, nothing big, but its a good news =) at least to me, it is! ha!

as many already know, and few friends of mine (eg. mr hilmi ramlan was stuck at denmark and forced to take the train, which is 12 hours ride to brussels) experienced inconvenience from it - iceland's volcanic eruption. its the eyjafjallajokull (wtf! how to pronounce it?) volcano.it has been headlines all over the world together with poland's tragedy,  and china's earthquake.

house made by.... bottles

lets be frank, i am not a sincere eco-friendly person. i do recycle bottles and papers, use green bag to carry my groceries and drink tap water instead of merchandised water bottle. but i did waste up energy in turning on air-conditioner/heater, lights on most of the time. it can be tough going green.

clash of the titans 2010

i always have a thing for greek myth. hence, when the boys asked if i would like to watch clash of the titans, i nodded hard. guess its time to check on my budget, has been spending hard on entertainment (3 movies in a week). its only mid-april and i haven't done any shopping (exclude my flora lv blackberry housing).

a fisherman found a coffin adrift in the sea, discovering baby perseus and his dead mother, danae. i couldn't find a picture of danae, but she is amazingly attractive. the most gorgeous women alive and dead in the movie. the fisherman raise perseus as his own with his family whom all died because of hades starred by ralph fiennes who is god of the underworld commands harpies to massacre soldiers from argos as they destroyed a statue of zeus and declaring war on the gods.

i would definitely say its good. i mean not the breathtaking one, but overall, its good. although there is a bit rushing to finish. perhaps they should make it part 1 and part 2? like some serious fight with giant scorpian for first, then medusa and kraken for second. andromeda is pretty, so is io, but not as heart-throbbing as danae. even in a coffin, supposedly a corpse, she still look angelic. pretty hot and beautiful too in the scene where zeus took her.

the last song on a date night

i am so creative ;^) not random say, i will explain in a while.

revised and sat p.t class test. check.

hence, pamper myself to watch date night on tuesday evening and the last song on thursday.

i have 3 hours of business analysis on tuesday from 5.30 - 8.30pm. normally, my team would finish up our daily workshop exercises and left before 7.30pm. however, this week, we were pretty stuck on doing the use case diagrams and flow charts, thank god anurag and michael are almost an expert, so i left the building at. 8.15pm. boyfriends already waiting for dinner then movie, our usual tuesday routine. picked date night instead of clash of titans. its tuesday night, 2d movies are $10.50 and 3d are full price. of course we'd go for 2d.

directed by shawn levy. phil and claire foster (steve carell and tina fey) are married couple with kids whose domestic life has become a routine. in an effort to reignite sparkly romance, phil took claire to a trendy manhattan restaurant. with no table and desperation, they took a reservation from no-show couple which later put them into life threatening troubles, turning a date night into guns, runs, louis vuitton handbags dance. phil and claire enjoy breakfast at local city diner after all the dramas where he admits that he would still marry claire an have their kids all over again if give the chance.

its absolutely a relaxing movie. hilarious yet meaningful. it got me think about what if the person you once madly in love turned to be an excellent room mate? no more arguments, no more passions, no, nothing but the comforts and kids. then papa and mami shuffle into my thoughts. papa once told me, its easy to fall in love, its easy to run away and break up, the hardest part is to stay and work things out. i do believe love can still be fresh and heart throbbing for a life time. its all depend on you and your partner, to make it work.

i read the book. it was really good. sort of risen my expectation on the movie. it didn't disappoint me. but i am not going to call it good. its far from the book. greg kinnear is good as a father, bobby coleman is perfect to be little brother. she shouldn't be miley cyrus. he shouldn't be liam hemsworth. and honestly, do people really think miley can act?

Goodbye, Tasmania

Good day folks ;^)

I had a wonderful journey down under. Tasmania is a beautiful place. Blue sky, white clouds and greenish fields as our companion.8 days 7 nights from Launceston to Hobart, we stopped by Devonport, Sheffield, George Town, St. Helen's, Swansea, Port Author, Richmond. These places gave good memories. Perhaps its the people you travel with. Big love to Big Bo, Billy, Tracy and of course my boyfriend, R.

5 people, 6 camera, we have over 6 thousand of photos. It took me hours to pick out which to be uploaded. I would put all up if I could. But too many is annoying. So I put them into 4 album and uploaded onto Facebook. So, be sure to check it out! I assure you they are pretty.

Have been watching the Good Friday Appeal cause show on Channel 7. They film and interview children who benefits from the donation. Those kids spread positive energy despite having to visit the hospital often due to diseases. Many of them are rare disease, some aren't suppose to happen to children at very young age. They inspired me. Nurses and doctors gives me hope. Random, I know, but that's how I feel. Even thought of not doing master and get a certificate or a degree in child care or nursing. Ahhh! louis vuitton handbags Calm down Miss Chang. *calmed* Anyway, big claps to them! And congratulation to the Good Friday Appeal for getting almost 6 million of donation (more to go)! I donated too. Although its just a small amount but I am very proud of myself already.

Do people still get fooled on April Fool ? The answer is YES. For example, my clumsy blur sister - Miss Chelsea Chang. I send a text message telling her I am going to be deported by the Australia Immigration, and that I don't know how to tell mom. She replied "OMG, how come? What are you going to do?" I laugh so hard. GOTCHA! But its different to other people. I realize my friends are so smart. Miss Koe understand me too well to believe the deportation and hesitation to tell my parents. And Mr Teh replied "That's great! So you can attend my wedding in July =D". I laugh so loud at Old Town Kopitiam Mamak when I saw the message. Grab some attention too! What a great way to start April =]

Met Brussel at Las Chicas. She is 17 year old already. So steady and obedient. Friendly to us. I really want a dog. Promise to take good care of her and love her like my biological daughter.

Still in the process of finishing my business analysis assignment. After a long consideration and research done on which subject to be target on, I finally started to draft out the piece. Due next Friday. And I am flying off to Tasmania tomorrow. Not panic at all because I will be bringing my laptop with me! So I'll be able to do my revision for my mid-term test, which is the week after next, and submit the assignment while traveling.

Mc Donald's Family Deal ! Finally tried it. We ordered the $35 meal which includes Grand Angus x 1, Mighty Angus x 1, Quarter Pounder x 2, 6 pieces of nuggets, medium fries x 4 and 4 x drinks. Honestly, I felt so guilty! Its delicious, really, but you have to admit the fatness of fast food. So, I promise myself, no more fast food for at least 3 weeks!
