M&Ms Nails

Hello everyone.

First of all, condolences to family and friends of Samoa victims. As most of you may not be aware of (you should really read the news!!), powerful earthquake in South Pacific triggered a massive tsunami at shores of Samoa and American Samoa, which "wiping off" villages, cars and people, leaving at least 99 dead and many missing. Read. Then, few hours ago, a powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's Sumatra Island. Read. Honestly, lets hope no more tsunami, no more death reports from these disaster.

Put aside these sadden news, I am actually having a quite good day. "Coloured" my nails with five different colour. It looks like M&Ms sticking on my fingers =] Told sister and girlfriend about it, and they demanded a picture.

Colourful isn't it? =] Its green, red, yellow, blue, purple. I have the same colour with same order on my right hand too! B said it does look like M&M except for the toxic-smell.

My final weeks to finish up two assignments which I am obsessed to score high but slacking off. Then, preparation for finals which I am aiming better than average result. All these stress and pressure are from me, not my family =] They have been forever supportive. So with all this, again I allowed myself to cut my sleeping hours to have excess time for studies. Resulting, eye bags, pimples, black heads, bad skins. I am not born beauty like Suri Cruise.

Look at her! What a perfect, beautiful toddler. She must be the only reason if I ever think of marrying a good looking "ang moh". Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes sure passed on their appearance genes to this young lady.

In order to not look too bad after all these stress. God help me that I am going to be in this condition for the whole October, and mind you, first day is not here yet. I totally need eye masks and face masks. Also, Garnier's eye contour and eye roll-on. Feel lucky for not staying with me people, you will see very much of this "looking" throughout the month.

UNHCR

Dear humanity,

I have done something good today, and I am very proud of myself. Every time I walked passed those volunteer team trying to stop and have some words, mostly asking for donations, I do want to listen to them. However, most of the time, either I am running late for classes or got pulled away by friends. This time, I am not running away, stopped in front of James, a volunteer of ERTeam from UK. After minutes of introductions and explaining to me, He got my nod. I've joined the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee's Emergency Response Team or known as ERTeam. ERTeam is a highly trained group of UNHCR who provide fast and effective supports to any crisis wherever needed worldwide. They provides and coordinates international relief for refugees and displaced people, offering protection and assistance. There are more than 42 million people in 116 countries which hold up to 80% of women an children were forced to leave homes because of conflict, disaster, civil wars. Now, I am donating $1 a day to support these people who are powerless and do need help. $1 is enough for 500 refugees to be able to have clean water for drinking. $30 monthly is not a big amount to most of us, I will be able to save $30 per month by reduce purchases on magazines or cutting down on dine out, you to can do something to help these people, cutting down your cigarettes expense, booze, clubbing. And just so you know, I donate using my pocket money, not with credit card which mummy is paying the bill. For your information, please visit their website.

Daddy called. Adding one more itinerary before Indonesia. Yay! Going Thailand. To be specific, Bangkok. Going to pray "Four Face Buddha", some foot/body massages too. And I misses their cheap cheap on price tag and sour & spicy food. Awwww.. can't wait to go home. Counting down 35 days 23 hours 27 minutes.

Watched first episode of The Vampire Diaries again, on Channel 9 this time. I don't like the fact that they are showing VD but not GG. VD is basically twilight clone. Yet, it can't beat twilight saga. So not original. Nothing draw my attention throughout the episode. Would rather go to bed early than putting my eyes on it. That's how bad.

Stupidity

Good day folks.

How stupid can anyone possibly be? See for yourself.
Spotted. Employee apparently complaint about the job and semi-screw her employer. BUT forgot she actually has the employer in her friend list. Lesson learned. Never add or approved anyone you know there are highly in position for your foul mouthing and bitching.

I should show some sympathy but instead I only feel the lady deserved it. Boss actually have points. People has been complaining their jobs and all. But hey, you should really feel bless for not being in the calculation of unemployment rate. So, be grateful.

Weather Man

Hello mellow.

What is wrong with you, Mr Melbourne Weather? Its Spring! You are suppose to put on blue suits with cotton clouds and give us a big fat sun shiny face. Instead, these days have been worst than winter breeze. Icy rain, blew-all-away wind and low low low low temperature. I hate stepping out of the house now. Its too cold outside. Even steamboat can't heat me up ;(

Evening. Again, went swimming with B and T at Ascot Vale Leisure Center. I like it here that the pool temperature is just fine. No goosebumps, no shivering, no rush to be active right away to warm my body up. Perfect. If it wasn't the shower heater is not warm enough, I would come more often.

My dearest C, if you are really coming back to Malaysia in January, which I am probably not around, why not visit me in Hong Kong? :) You're more welcome. At least B suggested you can stay at ours, oh no, his place. You know I want to be with you x

Saturday

M.

Hello everyone.

I had a very sporty Saturday. Start off with swimming, spa & sauna with B at the aquatic center. Saw lots of family and some with babies. I love it when toddles smiles and when their little eyes twinkle blinks at you. Today at the wave section, not only these cute little monster splashing the pool but also babies, babies who are just few months old, who look still fragile. My guess is they are not older than ten months. Guess this is the culture difference between the "Ang Moh" and Chinese. Chinese sometimes may be overprotective, or overreact. I think its perfectly fine to let your children explore a little, be adventurous but with morale and disciplines. Communications between the generations are always the bridge to understanding and trust. That's how my parents and I worked. Too much of freedom may cause rebels on later days. Always I says, balance is the key to peaceful mind, body and soul. Its not only peaceful but it is a relatively strong affection on bonding and loving. Then sometimes when I think those people I known for years, maybe is not the communications, is not about the parents or the kids, is the person itself, the character/personalities that screw things up.

Afternoon. Went H home with B to watch AFL Grand Final 2009. Its my first time sitting down and really watching this Australian football. Its different from Man Utd or Chelsea. The rules are different, counting points differently, tactics are different too. The most significant is the hand are allowed. Which I don't understand why do you call it football in the first place if hand are allowed. Anyway, this years are Saint Kilda vs Geelong. Good game I must say. Congrats to Geelong Cats!!

When I got home and check my facebook, surprised by M. She added me as friends, but instinct told me she doesn't even like me. We shared a bad "Hi, nice to meet you" memories. Anyhow, I approved. I didn't like to be enemies or rivals of anyone. I am not even close to dislike her. So, why not? I don't mind to be in her "I know you" people list as long as she doesn't get on my nerves which clearly boundaries are set and clarify. Then when B check his, like we guessed, she added him too. I told him its silly not to approved her request, when he asked why do I approved it. No matter how many times ignoring it, M still come back and re-request. So, why not just do it for once and we'll never have to think about it anymore. May M come in peace and leave no shits.

p.s B and I are going to Indonesia, his real hometown in November with all his relatives ;) My first time to Indonesia. Can't wait to start all the gossips with J

Magical Class

Good day people.

Advise needed.

Me. 21 y.o. Know nothing about "how to" put on any kind of make ups. Only apply only moisturizers, lip gloss and sunscreens. The one and only time with make ups happens in my 18th Birthday party, still regretted how plasticize I looked. Think I don't look natural in makeups. So, should I learn the magic of makeups? If so, paying for short courses on it or watch YouTube's "how to"?

When I am thinking of what's the point of putting all these products - concealer, foundations, lip sticks, mascara, blush, eye shadows - Some told me it represents respects of the circumstances or the person you're meeting. Hmmm. Sounds right and morale. But, isn't respecting about honesty and sincerity? Makeups makes you look better, which you probably not without it, it somehow represents a second-degree of dishonesty. Ladies we are suppose to be confidence and feel good about ourselves, like all other effing good looking celebrities motto-ing. lmao. If you really feel good about yourself and having that level of confidence, why bother covering up wrinkles and bad skins with cosmetic? Lying celebrities.

I am not against the magic of makeups. Just talking my head out of these little thoughts I had. Nevertheless, us feminine just have to admit we need supports to look better. Its not about honesty or confidence or how you feel. Is about how shallow we humanity are. Yes, appearance is the first impression you are giving. Everyone is judgmental especially in workforce, almost no exception. Can't blame though. The rule is set : If you can't at least manage your appearance, are you expecting anyone is ever going to give you the trust on your performance. Don't be sad, at least you are looking at beautiful creatures walking around in the office. Its not so bad.

Anyway, my conclusion is - its time for me to learn some magic at the School of YTHT ( School of YouTube HowTo). I mean, it should be fun leaning it :) Not like I care if I look prettier with make ups. It still make me feel like a barbie, not who I am. But the point is, why cut the fun when its perfectly fine to enjoy the learning part. Ladies, born to be.

Guitar Hero

Hello everyone.

Completed Gossip Girl season 1. I will be watching 2 already if and only if any store is selling in M city. The last episode touches my heart. Seeing Blair Waldorf, Chuck Bass and Nate Archibald defensing Serena van der Woodsen. I haven't got to that part when I was reading the book. And I am going to get them (books) before holidays. Question. Why do I like B more than S and Chuck more than Nate? Can't wait to go home and watch it again with my sister, and perhaps the second season too.

My very own B - boyfriend bought guitar hero. A very good way to stop me from watching any other series (The Hills, Supernatural, Entourage, Underbelly) especially knowing that I am suppose to start reading for finals. Guitar hero, who knows it might be my next addiction? A couple of songs like American Girl and Sex On Fire already got my fingers flicking on it ;)

p.s My second dinner without rice. It doesn't feel right. Starved me before sleeping hours. But managed to push the cravings down and went to bed early. Any food after 8 is not acceptable for this month. Then just before closing my eyelid, I remember having a box of lite yogurt in the fridge.

p.p.s Sometimes I feel pointless updating so frequent. An average of 1 per day in 2009. But when I am in mood to have something to read, I read what I wrote. And it feels great.

Tuesday

Planned

Good day folks.

Actually, mine is not that good. I went to the Ascot Vale Leisure Center for my normal weekly swimming hours with friends. Thanks to Royal Melbourne Show 2009, the car park which normally is free are charging $15. So we parked at the residential area near by. Later, B got an infringement notice from the Moonee Valley City Council for parking in a permit zone. But for your information, we've got the permit, and its hanging at the mirror. So, is the officer blind or simply ignore it? What make the four of us frustrated is we are the only car got it.

Dinner. Got some Chinese take away and went back to T's for movie we rented at the store. Fired Up. I won't deny I am jealous of those cheerleaders body. Damn they are hot! Yes, hot as in body hot. Just that. So now, I've got a plan. Cut off any type of rice dishes in dinner for a month. And possibly arranging to swim 2 times a week, 10,000 steps per day, and 2 session of gym workouts. I promise you. We are going to celebrate my achievement on losing pounds very soon ;)

I was at Safeway for weekly groceries shopping the other day. And saw this set up of white balloons and boxes. When I come closer, It's Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! So, now they are selling at supermarkets? That's quite a good one. I like the original doughnuts. Just sugar coated the top. Not fancy of other flavours. However, I put them back on stand as B reminded me I am on diet. Sometimes I hate him for reminding me when it comes to food, I love food. But I often thank him after the cravings disappear.

As most of you know, I don't do booze. Occasionally a glass or two of wine, or Margaritas. Recently, I found my favourite at a Japanese Restaurant. It is sparkling sake cocktail. Lychee flavour. Low level of alcohol concentration. Just a fine supplement for green tea with Japanese cuisine. It is call, Tsunami.

Monday

Stressful Mon

Hello everyone.

How's your Monday? A very stressful one for me :s I found myself stuck in a pretty much do more situation for the soon-to-be due assignment. Always bad of me to not trusting people getting their work done, good work, then mostly I'll just helped out, which normally end up doing almost everything.

The test wasn't so bad after all. Even there is much tricky question, but when you really look into it and recalling your notes, its pretty obvious which is the answer. Only some of them are so close, or similar that I am not sure about. International Trade graphs/diagrams are pretty much building up from the beginning. So I kind of messed up, mixed up on which developed first and which is derived from the previous. Not a good economist material ;)

Two more assignments due next week and then a full concentration on finals. I love my exam timetable.

p.s Happy 21st Birthday to 譚慧珊 ;) There is a lot to tell, there is a lot to share. Finally realized its not my place to be there for you, not anymore. Sometimes I feel relieved. That you are never going to find out, I still care and that I miss you.

Till then, you know you'll come back to hear more craps from me.

Saturday

Lovely Friday

Hello people;)

Frigging long post alert!!! Trust me when I say its long, especially putting the word "frigging" in front. It may took you a double digit minutes to read. Please appreciate what I wrote, and kindly drop a comment with blessings.

First, Happy 2nd Anniversary to me and my boyfriend. I know, a short two years but we adore and cherish each moment spent together. I am blessed. I have world greatest parents and siblings. And now I have a great boyfriend that love me much. I am really thankful for everything, and appreciate them with my soul.

The celebration starts with waking up at 5 in the morning. I was a bit frustrated to have to wake up at this hour. But tears almost fill my eyes when I finally know where we are going. Boyfriend has been keeping it a surprise for me. So, waking up in early morning is for my always-want-to-try-once hot air ballooning! It sure surprised me. I was theoretically begging him for it the past few weeks. And he always cruelly give me the big no face. Even the night before, I offer to pay for his ballooning flight, and he still say NO. I am stupid for not guessing he already planned on bringing me.

The driver took us and other couples to Lilydale, its nearby, like a 40minutes drive and the next thing, we were at the local NFL field. Everyone helped to set up the basket & balloon. It's an experience (: Ron, our balloon pilot is a funny guy. Other couples were really nice and cheerful. We departed with another 15 people in the basket, so a total of 17. I was a little panic and heart pumping hard when we ascending beyond building heights. But later on enjoyed the spectacular view of Yarra Valley and feel great in the sky. Brave enough too look down and giggled about how tiny cars are and houses with weird shape pools. Sun rises and the burning for balloon warms up the atmosphere.

I love this! Highly recommend, if you aren't afraid of the height, go hot air ballooning once in your life although it may cost a bit.

The landing is special. Due to the sudden change of wind blowing direction, we were forced to land on the cow farm. They (cows) were stunned. I swear with my life on this, they all stunned looking at our balloon descending on their territory. Once Ron lighted up fire, all of them frighten and ran away. Except one, innocently, bravely stare at us, and realize his others are all gone, then he ran. We were laughing so hard and it shakes the basket. After landed, we all hopped out and helped to packed the balloon. I like the activity, but hate the environment. There are cow poo everywhere, and land are wet. Its really not hard to step on one and bring it home as souvenir. We had a great morning. The whole journey took two hours and we're ready to go lightly pass 9 am. Great timing for some food. Then, we went back to Balgownie Estate's Rae's Restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast is included. Starts off with a glass of white wine which taste just fine, a very light one for morning is good for blood circulation (: And breakfast is buffet style.

My flight over Yarra Valley with Big Balloon!!
Big thank you too Balloon Sunrise

Are you afraid of the height? I love it (:

After breakfast, we went back to the room and get ready for the next activity - a full body massage at Natskin Spa Treatment. After 90 minutes of it, I feel so rested. Practically sleep throughout the session. Its good. We filled up a form stating our preferences and the looking forward results. So I didn't feel any pain, the pressure is just fine. Enjoyed a lot. And I really fall asleep it started for 5 minutes.

Then, boyfriend drove us to Tesselaar Tulip Festival. It started on 16 September 2009 and ends on 13 October 2009. Feel free to check it via phone - 03 9737 7722 or it's website. I love tulips. Having an opportunity to this festival is a great present for me. They are so beautiful. To me, tulips means happiness, means vivacious, and it does cheer up me, hope that you feel the same too after seeing my pictures of them.

After spa, my skin glows (: On the way to Tesselaar

Giving a feel of Holand with the Windmill

After spending more than an hour at the Tulip Festival, we drove back to Balgownie and prepared for dinner at Sky High, Mount Dandenong.

It is my first time to Mount Danenong, and first time dining at Sky High. They had a perfect view of sun set. Seeing the firing red orange sun slowly descending. I love sunset more than sunrise. The colour of the sky during this time are indescribably. It has a romantic surrounding but the food is not what I was expecting. Anyway, I came for the view, not the food, so I guess I am fine with it. After sunset, stars shine. The sky is exceptionally clear tonight. I can clearly see lots of twinkle up there. It feels great.

Sunsetting (:

The sky is so beautiful, to me

Boyfriend's entree: Seafood Chowder soup, $11.50

Balgownie

Hello people ;)

B has been planning this short trip for a month. Tomorrow is our special day. He decided we not spend it with the crowd in city. Hence making a trip to Yarra Valley for a 3 days 2 nights getaway.

After 50minutes drive from Melbourne CBD, here I am at Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa at Yarra Valley. I couldn't explain in words how blessed I feel. The place is just a perfect city escape for some Shiraz and to be intimacy with the natural habitat. It's green everywhere. Except you see vineyard across the big green field. I feel so relaxed here even knowing there are eight chapters of reading for Monday 40 percent mid-term test. Taking a sip of year 2006 Balgownie red, writing my blog. Imagine that kind of life. It makes me want to be a journalist, or any jobs allowed that level of relaxing atmosphere. :) Great future.

After checking in, we went to the health club. There are gym room next to the pool, and a steam room. I always prefer steam. Sauna makes me feel, breathless. Steam wise, moisture in air makes me uncomfortable, but I like it on my skins. The pool has walkway jet and swim jet which added extra fun. Bad swimmer as I am, I can't do swim jet, the water pressure are too strong and it almost washed away my bikini top. Walkway jet is a really good one as you walk against the water which has pressure pushing you back. Good exercise. Gym room is more professionalize and it has a TV screen attached to each single machine. We won't have to watch TV across the room like I do in Fitness First gym room :p Boyfriend like the gym room very much.

We spend the evening at Rae's Restaurant, the only restaurant in Balgownie Estate. The atmosphere is soft and relaxing. Clouds covered up the shining starlit night. But it would be a starry night view in this glass walls restaurant. Waiters are friendly and polite but not quite efficient.
Enjoy some pictures (:

Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort's reception

Health club's swimming pool

Cam-whoring before dinner at Rae's Restaurant

Rae's Restaurant - the only restaurant in Balgownie Estate

The Girl's entree: crispy scallop ravioli, $19

Boyfriend's entree: pan fried tiger prawns in spicy sumac, $20

The Girl's main course: Fillets of beefmarinated in crush lemon myrtle, $35
Matching wine: Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon $8

Boyfriend's main course: Pork belly glazed in cinnamon ginger & shallots, $28
Matching wine: Balgownie Black Label Cabernet Merlot, $8

Overall, my entree and main course plus matching wine are better than boyfriend's. The food is delicious. An absolute fine dine.

Much relaxing, The Girl

♥ Mom

Mom,

Thank you so much for your toleration and unconditional love. I do appreciate everything and feel the blessing for such great family we are. Although there are conflicts and sometimes you fake like you don't care, but you fake it bad to someone who has known you for 21 years, yes, deep down I know you are there just like dad in ready position to catch us when we fall. I am always touched by your generosity and lovely heart to people in need. However, it makes me frustrated when I see some take things for granted. Guess I'll have to learn humble and take thing with loving heart to be like you. You're not like other moms. You are not pushy over our academic but always remind us to give our best shot. I know we haven't been the most hardworking children. But I assure you we are all good kids (: and you are going to be so proud of us not in the future but now, and on-going till the very end.

Happy birthday mom! I ♥ you

Much ♥, The Girl

Here Comes The Sun

Lovely day, people.

I had a good night sleep after yesterday's activity in the pool. Waking up feeling fresh and satisfied. Put on my Slazenger Walker and do steps for 30 minutes while watching morning news (: I love my life. So healthy! Breakfast is steam dumplings with home-made dumpling sauce. Yummy mummy. Then, went to International Trade tutorial with Christine.

Class wasn't bad. I like the lady more than the man as my tutor. She is cool, just enough interaction, not pushy, not giving a tough hard pressure but always reminding you to work hard. We had a trial assessment, forming a group of four and did some quizzes. Score, not bad, at least a passing mark but definitely need to put in more for Monday's 40% worth mid-test.

After class and leaving the building, a cowboy dressing guy holding his guitar, playing one of my favourite The Beatles' Here Comes The Sun. It is beautiful. I love the rhythm, I love the lyrics. I just love the song so much. It made up my day. All stress and depress can be washed away. And listening to those I called "street artist" playing them, I am already so happy. The song makes me appreciate the sun more than ever. Yes, we've got a sunny day in city. No clouds, just the sun dominating the blue sky (: I love you, Melbourne!

p.s Around the corner, the other tee shirt guy playing Jason's I'm Yours. What a wonderful day!

p.p.s. Will be going to Yarra Glen for the weekend get away (: 2nd Anniversary celebration.

Much Happy, The Girl

New Look

Hey people.

Realized the new look of my blog?
I probably shouldn't change it after few months use of the old one. But its Spring in Melbourne!! The weather has been doing great lately, sun and wind come along, just a perfect temperature (: I can't help to show some happiness and motivation to pretty up my blog.

I was walking home from Bourke Street while Victoria firefighters marching down Swanston Street. Snapped two picture of them using Cotton (:

There are hundreds of them marching down, rally over the scarcity in firefighters. Chanted "more firefighters, not less" and "cost cutting, risk increasing". Click. I always respect firefighters. They are the one that running into the fire when everyone is running away. They save lives. Brave man.

Then, B and I went Highpoint Shopping Center to get his formal attire for next week's presentation. And Nando's reopen!! I was so excited. Nando's is one of my favourite in oz-land (:

After renovation. The entrance and interior looks nice.

My order, Nando's Chicken meal. Ordered it in Hot sauce so I can dip with Extra Hot latter.

Evening, we went MSAC for some swim. Finally get a chance to swim at the outdoor pool which twice the size of indoor. I was exhausted. Am not good in stamina at all. Anyway, I see improvement which motivate me to go for a few round before I call out and stick with sauna & spa.

I like swimming pretty much. Guess I'll do it more often now. Still have 9 kg to peel off before semester ends. Which left me 60 days. Not good.

Much exhausted, The Girl

Sunday

B.S.M

Hello people.

I woke up early in the morning for Balwyn Sunday Market a.k.a Camberwell Sunday Market. Few drops from the sky. We had a cloudy Sunday in Melbourne. I can't see a piece of blue up there. The sky is dominated by cotton clouds (: I love walking around market, even there is nothing suitable to take home. I like seeing the local searching and bargaining things. I like seeing kids playing guitars along side. I like hot dogs stall. Anyway, I bought a vintage mini at a stall. Love it.

After that, we went to St Kilda Sunday Market. B bought a drawing for my living room. He is going to put it up at my living room :) A very beautiful ocean view painting. Had lunch at Vibe, an Italian cuisine.

Starter: Tomato &  Olives bruchetta with warm foccacia, $5.90

Main: Fettucine with Tomato & Spinach, $12

Evening, T called. Barbeque night at his place with H, Ceci, L, J, Crystal, N & her boyfriend. Its been quite a while since our last barbecue night, almost a year. T made a very delicious taco. The ingredient is just too tasty to be describe by words. And the pork chop is the best meat of the night. Juicy delicious. We didn't take a group photo or so, they seems not a big fan of cam-whoring. But I managed to snap one when few playing The Beetlemania :P

Lots of errands to run for next week. Sigh. Here come heavy workloads and studies :(

Much tired, The Girl

Thursday

A Day in Pompeii

Good day folks. Woke up after 10 hours of sleeps *satisfied*. Had the raw salad I picked by myself last night at Showground Village's Coles. Yummy. Then headed to gym for a 45 minutes treadmills and 15 minutes of cycle. Surprisingly, bump into Zarif from my high school. I didn't know a friend from Sri KDU Class 2005 - 4 Deakins is here, same university, studying engineering. Me, Kai Young, Julie Kan, U Jun, Natalie, Shafiq, Zarif all in Melbourne. Michelle and Jiunn Meng in Sydney. Who is next joining us in Oz-land?

I have an educational day. After having fruit salad for lunch, I went to the Melbourne Museum. Walked there. They are having a special exhibition - A Day in Pompeii.

Pompeii is a town-city ruined and partially buried near Naples in the Italian region of Campania. Along with Herculaneum, Pompeii was destroyed and buried during a long catastrophic eruption of the still under heavy monitor volcano, Mount Vesuvius spanning two days in AD 79. Vesuvius collapsed higher roof-lines and buried Pompeii under 60 feet of ash and pumice. The town-city was lost fr nearly 1700years before its accidental rediscovery in 1748. Since then, its excavation has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire.

The eruption of Vesuvius that buried Pompeii.

While walking around the exhibition, I found that the idea of water supply if from Pompeii. Hell, they are smart people. But most of the Romans living in Pompeii didn't know what is a volcano. Mount of Vesuvius hasn't erupt for near 700 years before A.D 79. Earthquakes, which is a sign of volcano eruption often happens in Pompeii, they didn't know it them to be trapped and suffocating in Pompeii. Helpless.

Spend a near 2 hours in the exhibition. Then another hour in Melbourne Museum, the normal galleries including Dinosaur walk, bugs & insects gallery which I almost piss on pant, Melbourne's culture and history, which I took a picture with the moonlight chair. It is old Melbourne media stuff :)

Much learnt, The Girl

UP

Oh hello. It has been my madly busy 72 hours. Finally, I am ticking off some of my work written down in my planner since beginning of the semester.

Happily crossing out:
- SoA assignment
- Equity assignment

- Q.A assignment 1
- Investment mid-test

the balance are made up of:
- Investment assignment
- International Trade mid-test
- Q.A assignment 2

After the above three, here come preparation for final exam. It is happy that I will be coming home soon, but not so when it means finals are coming soon too! H1N1 certainly did not have a massive impact like I thought. Last semester, I was daydreaming it causes postponed and cancellation of classes, exams, whatever shits. But it is just not going to happen when I see clubbing, partying are still the weekend errands in Melbourne, not forget the karaoke sessions and mahjongs hours. Sometimes I feel fortunate that I am not a big fan of them. I like karaoke, but just not here in Oz-land where the bill is not affordable, not me. Mahjongs wise, I finally realized 3 players mahjong is called the Malaysian Mahjong. Apparently, people around the world, at least, China/Hong Kong/Taiwan's are the 4 players. I have no idea. However, saw them playing a couple of times. What is the fun? Winning is slower. And not in big amount. Okay, I am the risk taker when it come to mahjong. Not like I am going to win. Yes, I ALWAYS lose. Just don't have that kind of luck. Totally not going to be a successful gambler, hence you'll never see me pushing tokens at casino tables.

Anyway, today is Tuesday, which means, my movie night!
This week's pick is UP in 3D.

Its really good! Probably the best animated of the year :) Pixar Studios has done a very great production. It is not a children movie, it is an adult movie that is suitable for children too! The storyline is very attractive, imagination soars when the house departed with colourful balloons. It is like a dream come true not only exciting the children but remind the adult of their childhood fantasies with balloons.

The movie starts with a touching human drama of Carl and Ellie, then come to climax of Carl's own new adventures with Russell. I had a good laugh throughout minutes of the movie, enchanted by it. Ingenuity and humour are in abundant supply. Totally a perfect movie to ease my stress level. Giving the movie a 9.5 out of 10 rating!! It is actually better than Taking of Pelham 123 :P Recommended for those who still have the childishness in them. Strongly recommended to those who is losing the childishness.

p.s Leona Lewis's new single - Happy . It's amazing! Listen to the lyrics too :) I couldn't find it on YouTube as it has been deleted. So, check out Perez's site.

Much enchanted, The Girl

Friday

Twilight (DONE)

Spend my Friday at home. It's Spring!! I convinced myself to leave all my work and stay outdoor till sun set. But I didn't let it fight over. Assignments are now my priority. Due Monday, which left me barely 12 hours after the deduction of sleeping, napping, eating, showering, you know, the human errands. 12 hours and I have three assignments in hand. Headache. I usually to scream in excitement telling my boyfriend, Thank God Is Friday! But not this week, my holiday weekend, I frowned. Friday, meaning I have less time to finish my work. Hate it!

Anyway, had dinner with some friends at Ying Thai 2. Ordering the same dishes, always include my favourite Larb (mince pork with nuts, lemon, chili, herbs) and Mix Vegetable with oyster sauce, then the ordinary pot of seafood tom yum soup and curry chicken. It has been a while since we last had dinner, the five of us. Two of them were couple but not claiming good friends. They way to communicate, almost criticizing and forcefully get-along mode gives me a sighed. Why do anyone do this to themselves and to the one you once in love with? I can clearly smell the sour in spoken words, feel the pain through movements. But, who am I to give advise, to even talk about it? Keep it to yourself. I murmured but Roy heard me. It's their choice, their common consensus.

I am done with. Twilight saga!! Four book in three months. Breaking Dawn took me two days, and I certainly surprised at my reading speed, given that I didn't want to finish it yet. Yes, I didn't want to finish it, knowing I got nothing left to read. Its weird that I am more passionate to Twilight than Harry Potter. I only read the first two of magical Potter . But vampire, werewolves, they are different. I remember hating Isabella Swan so much that I decided to stop reading it. But Mich convinced me, and I am glad that I listened. Breaking Dawn is just abso-fucking-lutely good. I get excited when she got pregnant and deliver Renesme then becoming one of the vampire with special gift, shield. But why am I more to Twilight than HP? Then it snapped me. Its because vampires and werewolves are more special, their mythology are attracting me. Harry Potter's magical world gives bigger imagination and creativity, but is not something I am fascinating. Mythology always win over magic.

p.s I can't wait to see who play Renesme.

Much excited, The Girl

Thursday

Earthquake (Java)

Hello. I skipped one day. Yesterday is pretty much me stuck in front of the computer, doing SoA assignment. Still not done. I feel so unproductive, and unmotivated. Its getting closer, due date, and I got two more due on the same day, Monday. I hate Monday. Was thinking not to come to my blog today, twitter already consume most of my time :) But I can't help when I desperately want to write something. Its a short one, I promise. Then, I'll glue my ass on the chair till SoA assignment 100% done.

Rest in peace, victims of earthquake in Java, Indonesia. Nature disaster, helpless human. It happened last night, probably when I am sleeping soundly, 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck on island of Java, tearing down homes, killing and injuring. Now people are worried, will tsunami come after this? God bless NO. (read more about the news, click here)

p.s I start reading the final book of bloodsucker & werewolves - Breaking Dawn. So far, its much more better than Eclipse :)

Much tired, The Girl

Tuesday

Spring

Hello, Spring.

Winter is officially over. Happily welcoming Spring to step in the land. I felt exceptionally warm under the Sun. Only to realize it has been missing for days. Past few days remind me of a childhood lullaby "Rain, rain, go away, come another day..". I feel sick and moody when the surrounding are cold and wet. The humidity in air always give me a hard time to concentrate on my work. Not to mention I am theoretically useless under that circumstances. Anyway, I've got the whole week. Spring/semester holiday, whatever you're calling it. But again, theoretically, its not a holiday. Not feeling a single bit of it. Few assignments on my table due next week. Two class test coming right after. I probably shouldn't blame/complaint. RMIT seems to be the only uni having this short break, others holidays are not starting till end of the month. Maybe I shouldn't think of it as a holiday at all. Works have to be done by Sunday, hopefully.

Well, today is Tuesday. Meaning, cheaper movie tickets at Hoyts. Tuesday evening is always my movie night. This week, two movie in hand - G.I. Joe and Taking Of Pelham 123. Again, study for my Investment test at Deakin library till noon, then headed to Kammy's for more revision. Nerdy!! 6hours, 3 chapter. Not good. I need to boost up my energy and power up my revising speed. Anyway, after my study hours, we went Highpoint for movie!! Yay! Picked Taking of Pelham 123.

Taking of Pelham 123 is directed by Tony Scott running a 121 length of movie. It is about New York City subways hijacked by few armed man leaded by Ryder, where few passengers are held to be hostage. Walter Garber, work as a dispatcher for the subways coincidentally become the negotiator.

I was expecting something better. Not saying its not a good one, but just, should be better, something like Joseph Sargent version in 1974. I see no fireworks, lack of the high spirit, nervousness throughout the negotiation. Anyway, I wasn't disappointed. Nothing disappoint me as much as Pitt's.

Much nerdy, The Girl
